Privacy policy

Effective 15 September 2026. Last updated 15 September 2026.

We advise businesses on governing data and AI responsibly. It would be a poor advertisement for that work if we were careless with your information, so this policy is written to be read rather than to be technically survivable. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we'll explain it.

Who we are

Akkuitt LLC ("Akkuitt", "we", "us") is an AI governance and workforce enablement practice based in Columbus, Mississippi, United States. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at clientsupport@akkuitt.com.

The Exposure Check collects nothing

This is worth stating plainly

The Exposure Check runs entirely inside your web browser. Your answers are never transmitted to us, are not stored on our servers or anywhere else, and are not written to a cookie or to your browser's storage. We cannot see your result. We do not know that you took it.

Closing the tab ends it. If you want us to know your result, you have to tell us.

What we collect, and why

InformationWhen we get itWhy
Name, email address, organization, role, and what prompted your enquiry When you book a scoping call To hold the call, prepare for it, and follow up
Anything you choose to tell us When you email us or speak to us To answer you
IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps Automatically, in our host's server logs Security, and keeping the site working

We do not buy personal information from data brokers, and we do not sell, rent or trade yours. We have never done either and have no plans to.

Information about your business, during an engagement

If you become a client, we will see information about how your organization uses AI, and that may include personal information about your staff or your own customers. That is governed by the written agreement between us, not by this policy. Our standard terms restrict us to using it for the engagement, require us to return or destroy it afterwards, and prohibit us from using it to train any AI system.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run retargeting or advertising pixels of any kind.

Scheduling

Our booking page embeds a scheduler provided by Cal.com. Loading it sets cookies necessary for the booking to work and transmits your IP address to Cal.com, who process it as our service provider.

Fonts

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is disclosed to Google when a page loads. We mention it because it is true and most sites do not.

Analytics

We use a website analytics service to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. This tells us about traffic patterns, not about you individually, and we do not attempt to identify visitors from it.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request and honor it. You do not need to contact us separately.

Who else sees your information

Only service providers who need it to make something work, each acting on our instructions:

  • Cal.com — scheduling and booking
  • Bluehost — website hosting and server logs
  • Our email provider — correspondence and calendar

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our legal rights. If we are ever compelled to hand over information about you, we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't become engagements — up to 24 months, then deleted
  • Client records — for the duration of the engagement and seven years afterwards, which reflects professional and tax record-keeping expectations
  • Server logs — as retained by our host, typically a matter of weeks

Your rights

Privacy rights in the United States depend on which state you live in, and a practice of our size falls below the applicability thresholds of most state privacy laws. We think that is a poor reason to offer people less, so we extend the following to anyone who asks, wherever you live:

  • Access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — fix anything inaccurate
  • Deletion — erase it, unless we are legally required to keep it
  • Portability — receive it in a portable format
  • Opt out — of any marketing communication, at any time
  • Non-retaliation — exercising any of these will never affect how we treat you or what we charge you

Email clientsupport@akkuitt.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, which usually means replying from the address we hold. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to your state Attorney General's office. We would rather you told us first, but you are not obliged to.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and client information is limited to the two founders, protected by multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly and tell you what happened rather than minimizing it.

Children

This site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States and our service providers process information here. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection law differs from that in your own country. We do not currently market our services in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we will email you rather than relying on you noticing.
